A professor in Faculty of Science Compose a book entitled 30 Experiments in Inorganic Chemistry
Dr. Mohammed Abdulbasit released the first edition of his book (30 experiments in inorganic chemistry) was given to students of chemistry departments at all levels of education. This practical book was written to be used for all level students in chemistry departments in Iraqi, Arab and foreign universities. It also helps students connect with their laboratory experiments by applying important and appropriate examples to many important inorganic chemistry experiments.
The book is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with the safety rules of the chemistry lab and covers most of the information and instructions to be used in the event of emergency situations and how to use laboratory safety equipment safely and other general basic rules. Chapter II provides a description of the details of common chemical laboratory equipment and their appropriate uses as well as knowledge of proper use which will help ensure safe laboratory practices.
The third chapter deals with the important mathematical units in chemistry, which contains many units and their derivatives and transformations, which are used in all chemical experiments, in addition to many other important units such as pressure, temperature, volume, and others. This chapter also contains some statistical laws used in mathematical analysis related to different chemistry sciences. Chapter 4 also includes standard solutions, where the term standard and commonly used solutions are explained to help identify the concentration of concentrations of unknown substances.
The fourth chapter summarizes the previous chapters by applying experiments in inorganic chemistry. The main subject of this book included 30 experiments in inorganic chemistry with all its details such as introduction, materials, glassware used, methods of work, results and calculations.
