Scientific visit to Al-Karkh hospital

The Department of Medical Physics at the Faculty of Science organized a scientific visit to Al-Karkh Hospital to study the medical matters in a way that serves the objectives set by the department and under the supervision of Dr. Adnan Mohsen Ali and Eng. Noura Anwar Abdel-Zahra for the purpose of informing the students about the medical equipment in the hospital, which includes radiology department, ringing department, intensive care department and spiral section.

At the request of the students, a live experiment was conducted in the recovery section by examining a student for the mechanism of operation of pacemakers.

The members of the intensive care department gave a detailed explanation of the work of the Department's departments. The lectures were valuable and scientific. They felt the importance of medical physics in diagnostic and therapeutic applications in difficult and difficult situations. Students enjoyed the practical aspect and the importance of the role of medical physics to treat patients.
