Seminar at the Faculty of Science on the examination of the small nucleus

The Department of Microbiology at the Faculty of Science at Al-Karkh University of Science organized a mini-nucleus test as an indicator of water pollution. Dr. Sama Ibrahim's small-scale examination of the nuclei, an indicator of the genetic damage accumulated during cell life, for a complex mixture of contaminants in the aquatic environment, which represents the ultimate end of the increasing quantities of contaminants with multiple effects on organisms, especially fish in terms of (organ function, reproductive status, viability, population size).

The seminar aims to adopt Micronucleus assay as a simple and rapid biological indicator to detect pollution in Iraqi waters.
